This was a series of expeditions run over a period of time for a group of players based in Berkely, independently from the main story thread.
1 – Salvage : the party are employed by one Reat Thanu to salvage a ship-wreck near the city of Emilia, where this group start out.
2 – Haunted Village: the party are employed to eliminate a draugr hauting a village
3 – Package for Stelgano : the party are employed to deliver a package to the wizard Stelgano. On the long overland journey from Emilia to Chittagong via Portown they encounter orcs, goblins, bandits and an axe-beak bird. After delivering the package, the party attack a suspicious-seeming stranger who they overcome after a desperate struggle. When they discover that their badly-wounded captive is a Ranger, they heal his wounds and send him on his way. Stelgano, it seems, is under close observation for suspected dark deeds. They travel on to Chittagong and return to Emilia by buying passage on a ship, fighting off an Uul which flies out of the night in an attempt to carry off a victim.
4 -Tomb of Suerno : the party are given a map by a wizard and sent to explore the interior of Guria. Evntually they find the ruins marked on the map and discover beneath them an ancient tomb within a small maze. They drive off a strange glowing Wisp, and excavate the central chamber, destroying a ghost by sunlight. They then loot the sarcophagus and return home with the treasure.
5 – Troll-Slaying : once more the party explore the wilderness of Guria, slaying a troll and several draugr before returning with the loot.
6 – Tomb-Worms : the party accept a commission from the enigmatic sorceress Hekba to explore a tomb ‘on the other side of the world’ and bring back a Tomb-Worm for her alchemical purposes. She transports them there and back by a magic portal, but stays out of harm’s way. In some hot and steamy jungle they venture into a crumbling ruin and retrieve a Tomb-Worm, but not before it stings Jack Shadow, who is taken into a deathly paralysis and falls under the influence of the sorceress while being healed. He passes under her shadow and is seen no more as an adventurer.
