Once more Aradan leads a party out beyond the fringes of civilisation from Sequarl. Eric Psychoson and Shan are still with him. They are joined by Brodin, a human magician called Meldor and a warrior whose name is now forgotten, but who was remembered for his height – Seven Foot Tall.
On the first night they are visited by a wight whose chilling touch can suck the life of a living person. It is dispatched by Aradan’s flashing blades. The following days they track a werewolf to its den, where they find others and slay them all.
