Silden the Dwarven Priest receives a mission from the Temple of the Maker in Chittagong. An adherent of the Maker, by the name of Flamminius, has been captured and imprisoned by cultists of Yu-Li. Flamminius has prayed for rescue to the Maker and his prayer has been granted. Silden is to be the agent of the Maker in this matter.
Although the cult of Yu-Li is small, it nevertheless has a temple on the Street of Gods. City ordinances absolutely forbid war between temples in Chittagong. Therefore the Temple of the Maker is keen for the matter to be resolved with the utmost discretion. In particular, nothing must be traced back from this action to them. The Temple of Yu-Li is known to have underground levels and it is believed that Flamminius is imprisoned there. Silden calls upon Yspadadden to assist him and they seek out Trevillion and Banthil – both rogues with sewer experience. Banthil brings along a third rogue, a Halfling called Rowan.
The party explore the sewers beneath the streets of Chittagong, searching for an underground entrance to the Temple. They overcome a nest of were-rats, a large sewer alligator and two slime-demons. These latter prove to be guards to the Temple of Yu-Li. Penetrating the complex, they deal with a few ghouls and an undead witch before locating the cell holding Flamminius. They free him and escape quietly back into the sewers, avoiding detection. In addition to the loot they garner from their various conquests, the Temple of the Maker rewards each of them with a talent of gold for their successful action and continued discretion.
